LORNA INMAN

Fabricated Nature Series

BY LORNA INMAN

Inspired by a combination of real places, imagination, memories and an archive of past painterly work, ‘Fabricated Nature’ is a series of scenes inspired by nature that offer an alternative perspective to reality, drawing on the human-nature relationship. Lorna’s work often depicts natural landscapes, using them as a method of expressing messages and emotions about the human connection to nature, by projecting ideas onto scenes through use of colour, form and atmospheric cues. Using software called Tilt Brush to hand-paint each scene in virtual reality, the illusion of presence in the space offers a place to exist and reflect; bringing the viewer closer to the art and further inside the artist’s interpretation.
